Primary > 1st, 2nd and 3rd Grades

An International program aiming to establish a pleasant education of foreign languages, whereby students can associate it with their own lives by keeping themselves not attached to books in the 1-2-3 grades. With its intensity and content, the Foreign Language program taught in our schools secures students to perceive language not as a lesson but as a lifestyle. Starting from the first grade English is taught to be second Language with the minimum of 15 hours lessons. Each class has two Native English Speakers ( NAS) responsible for LSR & Non- Fiction Lessons. Fiction and Math-zone subjects are delivered by Turkish English teachers. The elements of the program in this group are comprised of:

  • The Oxford Reading Tree system (ORT), which elicits language learning in a natural and magical setting with the Storytelling approach,
  • The Letters & Sounds & Rhymes program (LSR), which helps students to correctly pronounce the new language they are learning, and
  • The Mathzone Program, which associates the above elements.

Various activities and projects are taken up as part of this system to make students reach to their specified targets. The students’ developments are examined through various observation techniques like portfolios and projects.

To develop a multi-lingual education German is taught as the third foreign language. The Waldorf system is at the heart of education program. 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders have 1 hour German lesson till they start the 4th grades.
